Super bristly plant from Chile, South America.

Obtained from a specialist cactus nursery in 1981 as a small seedling.

Flowers approx. 2cm. long, 1.5cm. diameter, scarcely opening, are produced in late winter and remain open for up to twelve days.

Kept very slightly moist in winter at a minimum temperature of 40 degrees F.
